Feature & Follow #18: My Favorite Movies

Hi Good day guys,
Hope Y'all are doing great. Time for Friday fun!!!

It's time to have a new feature and follow blog post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee's View.

What is Feature and Follow Friday?

In simple words- to gain more followers either via GFC or Bloglovin'. So the very idea of having this feature and follow meme is to collect more new bloggers on the block and to make new blogger friends as well as followers. It is a great idea which was started out by Alison and  Rachel. Three Cheers for those two masterminds!

So How does it Works?
  • Follow the Featured Bloggers on their blogs
  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
  • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
  • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, please return the courtesy by following them back. Spread the Love...and the followers

This Week's Question:
What is your favorite movie? - Suggested by A Kernel of Nonsense

That's a very difficult question. I can go on and on or rather make a huge never-ending list. Because these kind of questions don't exist in a movie-buff's life. They expect something like.. "Hey, give me recommendations about some action movies or romantic movie" or something like that. Anyhow, where shall I start from...umm.. let me think.. 80s/90s/or the recent time.. maybe recent time would be better.

Let's talk about my all time favorite movie which can be replaced by no other movie..(let's talk about original movie not those which are adapted from the books/novels/memoir!! )

Movie: Black Swan

Director: Darren Aronofsky

Language: English

Cinematography: Matthew Libatique

Cast: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder

Story:
This is the story of a ballerina whose passion and obsession towards perfection for each and every dance move and rules is unimaginable. So naturally when she is replaced by her dance company's director's prima ballerina, her race towards perfection of each dance move goes to a such a point where she discovers the dark side towards her sweet innocent demeanor.

Movie: The Skin I Live In

Director: Pedro Almodóvar

Language: Spanish

Screenplay: Pedro Almodóvar, Agustín Almodóvar

Cast: Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Marisa Paredes, Blanca Suárez

Story
Ever since his beloved wife was horribly burned in an auto accident, Dr. Robert Ledgard (Antonio Banderas), a skilled plastic surgeon, has tried to develop a new skin that could save the lives of burn victims. Finally, after 12 years, Ledgard has created a skin that guards the body, but is still sensitive to touch. With the aid of his faithful housekeeper (Marisa Paredes), Ledgard tests his creation on Vera (Elena Anaya), who is held prisoner against her will in the doctor's mansion.

Movie: Amélie

Director: Jean-Pierre Jeunet

Language: French

Cinematography: Bruno Delbonnel

Cast: Audrey Tautou, Mathieu Kassovitz, Jamel Debbouze

Story:
"Amélie" is a fanciful comedy about a young woman who discretely orchestrates the lives of the people around her, creating a world exclusively of her own making. Shot in over 80 Parisian locations, acclaimed director Jean-Pierre Jeunet ("Delicatessen"; "The City of Lost Children") invokes his incomparable visionary style to capture the exquisite charm and mystery of modern-day Paris through the eyes of a beautiful ingenue.

So that's all, I can't remember anymore right now!! What about you, which are your favorite movies? Do share with me in the comments below.

  26. The protagonist of the tale is Sandhya Giri, a knowledgeable housewife who married late and whose husband, Aatisk, has passed away. What's actually happening in this movie is how she fights against the Indian culture in the Universal Nation in order to appease them. The narrative spans 13 days, during which she investigates all of her answers and works to accomplish her goals without caving in to the false sense of validation from Indian society.
